The vinyl seat and back cushions on the chairs here have the gray wrinkled look of elephant skin; the dull gold paint of their metal frames has worn off along the edges. The tabletops are square with orange-tinted fake wood, and they hold ashtrays that are uniformly black plastic with red, white and black horseshoe designs on them. Some Rapido lottery forms are strategically placed around the room as well, and an old pinball game with red and turquoise diagonal stripes on the side stands next to the bar.

It's a fairly big place; I can see an upstairs dining area from where I'm sitting. Outside are sixteen granite-colored round tables with aluminum and rubber chairs alongside. On the far wall of this room a couple of cabinets hold what looks like a glass and mug collection.

My espresso came with a Great Britain sugar cube packet featuring a picture of "Ecossais jouant de la cornemuse," a Scotsman playing the bagpipes.
