Le Danton
October 13, 2002 - 11:00 p.m.
I'm a bit sick, so I won't be staying much longer. The place
was crowded a little while ago, but it has since emptied out.
A large group at a nearby row of tables sang "Happy Birthday"
in Spanish before departing. Red leather cushioned seats are
everywhere, round and square wooden tables, olive green chairs
with the kind of peeling paint that the Pottery Barn would charge
you extra for.
My Great Britain sugar cube wrapper is dedicated to the memory
of Sherlock Holmes, and it features his trademark hat and magnifying
glass superimposed on top of the Union Jack.
